Blue Santa in Austin benefits the children of the area that won't have a Christmas as nice as most.....if they have a Christmas at all!

Of all the charities helping people at this time of year.....this is the one that speaks to my heart.  In fact, this year, this is my Christmas shopping except for my immediate family.  I really wanted to be at the breakfast and I'm lucky to have a boss that supports us when it comes to the things in our lives that are important.  (Thanks, Boss!!!)

The Broken Spoke has been hosting the breakfast for several years.  The only problem is that the club is so large and there is so much going on, I'm always in the wrong place to get good pictures.  In fact, this year I only got 4 snapshots.  But, I'm not complaining!!  All the wonderful people that came together for the cause raised over $83,000!!  And, one company had their own fund raisers and brought a trailer full of $11,000 worth of toys!

After this morning, I'm finally in the Christmas Spirit!!

The picture above is KVET's Michelle interviewing Roy.  He and Ted host an open mic night every Thursday at Giddy Ups and all the tips go are saved during the year and given to Blue Santa.  This year, they raised $1,500!!  Way to go guys!  And, thanks to Nancy (Giddy Ups owner) for supporting them!
