Jason Allen at Club 21.  Good ol' country music in one of the oldest Texas dancehalls still in operation.

Yep!  That's a pretty good combination.

I got to the club late and Jason and the guys were in the middle of their break so I had a chance to speak to Jason before he got back on stage.  He promised I'd arrive just in time to see them 'kick butt'.  He wasn't foolin'!

The crowds at Club 21 usually start leaving about the end of the second set.  That was happening and there weren't a lot of people left for the last set.  The band could have played some standards for dancin' and the crowd would have been happy.  Not Jason!  He and the guys played that last set like it was still a standing room only crowd.  The people that stayed realized they were seeing 'a show' and they appreciated every song, every guitar lick.

Those of us that were lucky enough to still be there really feel sorry for the ones that left early.  Maybe next time they'll stay a little later.....you just never know what might happen when you're not there!

I'm looking forward to the next time Jason plays in the area......I plan to be there to see what happens next!
